Tiffany
Charles L. Tiffany and John B. Young opened their first store in New York City in 1837. Prior to it's retail of silver the store featured imported fancy goods. By the 1860's Tiffany and Company had become well known for creating and designing beautiful silverware. In 1868, they began flatware manufacturing and the first pattern was named "Tiffany" in 1869.
Tiffany silver flatware tends to be very ornate and heavy. It is beautiful and elegant.
